TokCloner

Comparison

TokCloner vs Blotato

By TokCloner team · Updated

Short answer

Blotato is an AI content repurposing and publishing platform: it turns YouTube videos, articles, PDFs, TikToks and other sources into posts and visuals, then publishes them to nine networks, from $29/month with a 7-day trial. TokCloner does one narrower job. It rebuilds a specific TikTok slideshow or Instagram carousel for your business as 1080×1920 PNGs, also from $29/month, and does not post.

Bottom line

Blotato is the better pick if you want one tool to write, make visuals and video, schedule and publish across nine platforms, handle comments and DMs, and plug into AI agents. TokCloner is the better pick when the goal is a TikTok slideshow or Instagram carousel modeled slide by slide on a post that already worked, rebuilt with your business's words and images. Both start at $29/month, and Blotato can publish the slides TokCloner makes.

Pick Blotato if

  • You want to turn long content, such as YouTube videos, podcasts, articles or PDFs, into many posts.
  • You need scheduling and publishing across up to nine platforms and many accounts.
  • You want AI video, voiceovers and visuals in the same tool as your scheduler.
  • You want comment replies, DM automations and analytics next to publishing.
  • You run an agency with dozens of client accounts.

Pick TokCloner if

  • Your main format is TikTok photo slideshows or Instagram carousels.
  • You want to model a specific post that worked, slide by slide, not just its ideas.
  • You want each slide's text styled like the original, over new images or your own photos.
  • You want to review and edit every slide before it goes anywhere.

Blotato and TokCloner both use AI to make social posts, but Blotato covers far more ground. Blotato repurposes long content into posts for nine networks and publishes them for you. TokCloner does one thing: it rebuilds a specific TikTok slideshow or Instagram carousel for your business, and you post the result.

Blotato details below come from its own site and docs, checked October 13, 2026.

What is Blotato?

Blotato is a social media platform built for creators, agencies and AI agents. It writes posts, makes visuals and video, schedules and publishes, replies to comments and DMs, and reports analytics. Blotato Inc. was founded in 2024 by Sabrina Ramonov and is based in Salt Lake City.

It publishes to X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest through official platform APIs. Every paid plan includes a REST API and a hosted MCP server, so Claude or ChatGPT can create and schedule posts for you.

What is TokCloner?

TokCloner takes a link to a TikTok photo slideshow or Instagram carousel and rebuilds it for your business: same structure and hook pattern, new text and new images. It works out each slide’s role, rewrites the copy from your business profile, and makes new backgrounds or uses your own photos.

You get 1080×1920 PNG slides to edit and download. There is no scheduler, no analytics and no inbox.

How Blotato works

  1. Connect your accounts once, in the web app or through the MCP server or REST API.
  2. Add a source or a topic. Blotato takes a YouTube link, a TikTok, an X post, an article, a PDF, an audio file, raw text or a Perplexity research query.
  3. Generate posts. Its AI writer formats the content for each platform, using templates and a model Blotato says is fine-tuned on viral posts.
  4. Create visuals. Pick a visual template, such as an infographic, carousel, image slideshow or quote card, and add a prompt. Video comes from AI avatars, HeyGen, Veo, Sora or your own files.
  5. Schedule or publish. Post now, at a set time, or into recurring weekly slots per platform and account.

Blotato’s Creator plan adds a database of viral posts, and a TikTok link can be a source. Its docs describe visuals made from Blotato’s own templates plus a prompt, rather than a slide-by-slide rebuild of one post’s design.

How TokCloner works

  1. Paste a link to a public TikTok photo slideshow or Instagram carousel.
  2. TokCloner extracts each slide and reads its text and styling.
  3. It maps the story: hook, supporting slides, payoff and CTA.
  4. It rewrites the copy for your business profile (name, audience, brand voice, product, visual style) and your instructions. You can point it at a media folder with an @folder mention.
  5. It makes a new background per slide from the image model you pick, or uses your library photos at 0 credits.
  6. It composites everything into 1080×1920 PNGs in about 1–3 minutes. Edit text, font, color, stroke, shadow and position, or regenerate one slide, then download.

Say a skincare brand finds a carousel that opens “POV: you finally fixed your sleep schedule.” TokCloner could return “POV: you finally found a moisturizer that lasts all day,” with the same POV rhythm and new product shots from your library. Credit the original creator, and never repost their images or text as your own.

At $29 both tools cost the same, but you get very different things. Blotato’s $29 buys a full publishing stack. TokCloner’s $29 buys 400 credits for clones; a clone built on your own photos costs 3 credits, and generated backgrounds add 1–21+ credits each.

What a month looks like

Say you post four TikTok slideshows a week and reuse them as Instagram carousels.

  • Blotato alone ($29 Starter): you build each slideshow from a visual template and a prompt, then schedule it to both accounts. Writing, scheduling and publishing don’t touch your 1,250 AI credits; AI images do.
  • TokCloner alone ($29 Starter): you rebuild 16 posts a month from slideshows that already worked in your niche. At 10 credits each that is 160 of your 400 credits, but you upload every post yourself.
  • Both ($58 a month): TokCloner makes the slides and Blotato schedules them. Consider this if you want proven structures and hands-off posting.

Output and limits

Blotato publishes directly, and its visual tools return images and videos as media URLs. Its own caps are stricter than the platforms’: 50 Instagram posts per 24 hours, 25 Facebook posts per Page per 24 hours, 50 LinkedIn posts per profile or Page, and 10 Pinterest pins a day. On Starter, its API docs say TikTok posting is restricted by the number of distinct accounts posted to in a rolling 24 hours (three). Comment and DM tools cover Instagram and Facebook only, and analytics skip LinkedIn.

TokCloner exports 1080×1920 (9:16) PNGs only, with no 4:5 or square option. It accepts image posts only, so video links and Reels are rejected. There are no team seats.

Who should pick which

Pick Blotato if

  • You want to turn videos, podcasts, articles or PDFs into a week of posts.
  • You need one place to schedule and publish across many platforms and accounts.
  • You want AI video and voiceovers next to your scheduler.
  • You manage comments, DMs and analytics, or run an agency.

Pick TokCloner if

  • Your main format is TikTok photo slideshows or Instagram carousels.
  • You want to model one specific post that worked, slide by slide.
  • You want the original’s text styling kept, over new images or your own product photos.
  • You want to approve every slide before it goes live.

Both tools work with AI agents. TokCloner’s MCP server is covered on the integrations page, and the TikTok slideshow maker page covers the slideshow workflow.

Can you use both?

Yes, and this pair fits together well. Blotato’s API docs describe TikTok image posts with a title, optional music and a carousel cover, and multiple images posted to Instagram become a carousel.

So one workflow is: rebuild a proven slideshow in TokCloner, download the PNGs, then schedule them through Blotato alongside the rest of your calendar. Before posting the same 9:16 slides to Instagram, check our Instagram carousel size guide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Blotato cost?

As of October 13, 2026: Starter $29/month, Creator $97/month and Agency $499/month. Yearly billing saves about 17%. There is no free plan, only a 7-day trial.

Does Blotato have a free trial?

Yes, 7 days with a card required. The trial includes 60 AI credits and excludes the API and MCP server; generating an API key ends the trial and starts the paid Starter plan.

What do Blotato AI credits cover?

Only AI image and video generation. Scheduling, publishing, API calls, AI voiceovers and turning content into posts do not use credits. Extra credits cost $6 per 1,000.

Can Blotato post TikTok photo slideshows?

Yes. Its API docs describe TikTok image posts with a title, optional music and a cover image for carousels, and multiple images on Instagram become a carousel.

Does TokCloner post to social media like Blotato?

No. TokCloner has no scheduling, auto-posting or analytics. You download the PNG slides and post them yourself or through a scheduler.

Is TokCloner a Blotato alternative?

Only for one part of the job. If you need a scheduler and repurposing tool, TokCloner does not replace Blotato. If you need TikTok slideshows or Instagram carousels rebuilt from posts that already worked, TokCloner is built for that.
