Viral slideshow analyzer

Paste a public TikTok slideshow or Instagram carousel link. You'll get each slide's role and text, the format and hook type, why the structure works and how to adapt it. 3 free analyses a day.

3 free analyses per day. Takes about 20–40 seconds. The first 10 slides are analyzed.

Short answer

Paste a public TikTok slideshow or Instagram carousel link and the analyzer labels every slide by role (hook, setup, value, proof, twist, payoff or CTA) and pulls the text on it. It names the format and hook type, explains why the structure works and suggests how to adapt it to your business. You get 3 free analyses a day.

A slideshow analyzer shows you how a viral slideshow is built. Paste a public TikTok photo post or Instagram carousel link above, and it reads every slide. It labels each slide’s job, names the format and the hook type, and suggests how to adapt the structure to your business.

You get 3 free analyses per day. It reads public image posts only, so video and Reels links won’t work.

What the analysis shows

OutputWhat it tells you
Slide roleThe job each slide does in the story: hook, setup, value, proof, twist, payoff or CTA
Slide textThe words on each slide, transcribed
Format nameThe overall pattern, such as a mistakes listicle, a before-and-after or a POV
Hook typeHow slide 1 earns the swipe: curiosity, mistake, contrarian, list, question and so on
Why it worksThe reasoning behind the order of the slides
How to adapt itSuggestions for using the same structure in your business

The seven slide roles

Most viral slideshows reuse a small set of slide jobs. Here’s what each role does, with example text for a meal-prep app.

RoleWhat it doesExample slide text
HookStops the scroll with a promise or a tension“5 meal-prep mistakes that make your food sad by Wednesday”
SetupGives context so the rest lands“I prepped every Sunday for a year. Here’s what went wrong.”
ValueDelivers one useful point“Mistake 1: dressing the salad on Sunday. Pack it separately.”
ProofShows it’s real: a photo, a result, a screenshot“Same chicken on day 4: stored dry vs stored in sauce”
TwistBreaks the pattern or flips an expectation“The worst mistake isn’t the food. It’s the containers.”
PayoffDelivers what the hook promised“Fix these five and Thursday’s lunch tastes like Monday’s.”
CTATells the viewer what to do next“Save this for Sunday. The full plan is in the app.”

Not every post uses all seven. A plain listicle can be a hook, five value slides and a CTA. A storytime post might be a hook, three setup slides, a twist and a payoff.

How to read the results

Match the hook to the payoff

Check that the payoff slide delivers what slide 1 promised. Strong slideshows close the loop the hook opens. If you borrow the hook type, you also have to keep its promise.

Count the value slides

The number of value slides sets the pace. Five short points read differently from two long ones. Note how much text each value slide carries, too; a dense slide asks for a longer read.

Find the twist

A twist slide pulls attention back in the middle of the post. If the analysis finds one, note where it sits and what expectation it flips. That’s often the part worth borrowing most.

Check where the CTA sits and what it asks

Some posts end with a soft ask, like save or follow. Others ask for a download or a purchase. Match your CTA to one action your audience is ready for.

Treat “why it works” as a hypothesis

The analyzer explains the structure, not the algorithm. It can’t see the account’s audience, the posting time or the sound. Use the explanation as a reason to test, not as a guarantee.

How to adapt a slideshow to your business

  1. Keep the structure, change the substance. Use the same roles in the same order, filled with what you know.
  2. Rewrite the hook in your niche. Keep the hook type and change everything else. The hook generator gives you 20 options to start from.
  3. Replace every value point with your own. Use examples from your customers, your product or your work.
  4. Use your own images. Product photos, screenshots and photos you took beat borrowed ones.
  5. Pick one CTA. One clear next step, matched to your goal.
  6. Post it, then compare. Change one thing at a time on later versions, so you know what made the difference.

For example, a bookkeeping firm can turn a “things I wish I knew before moving abroad” slideshow into “Things I wish I knew before my first year freelancing.” The format stays the same: hook, a run of lessons, a payoff and a soft CTA.

The things-I-wish-I-knew format breaks that structure down slide by slide.

What the analyzer can’t do

  • It shows no views, likes or account analytics.
  • It reads public posts only; private and deleted posts fail.
  • It reads images only, not videos or Reels.
  • It reads slide text with AI, so heavily stylized fonts or handwriting can be misread. Check the transcribed text against the slides.

TikTok’s copyright policy notes that copyright protects original works, not the ideas or facts behind them. So borrow the structure, but write your own words and use your own pictures.

From analysis to finished slides

TokCloner runs this same kind of reading before it rebuilds a post. It maps each slide’s role, the hook, the payoff and the CTA. Then it rewrites the text for your business profile and creates new backgrounds or uses your own photos.

You get 1080×1920 PNGs in 1–3 minutes. Plans start at $29 a month, and there’s no free plan. See the TikTok slideshow maker.

Frequently asked questions

What is a slideshow analyzer?

A tool that breaks a photo slideshow or carousel into its parts. It labels each slide's job, names the format and the hook type, and explains why that order holds attention.

Can I analyze an Instagram carousel?

Yes. Paste the link to a public Instagram carousel the same way you would a TikTok photo post.

How many analyses can I run for free?

3 per day. The count resets the next day.

Does the analyzer show views or engagement?

No. It analyzes the structure and text of the slides. It doesn't show view counts, likes or account analytics.

Can it analyze TikTok videos or Reels?

No. It reads image posts only: TikTok photo slideshows and Instagram carousels or photo posts.

Can I copy a slideshow after analyzing it?

Copy the structure, not the content. Keep the slide roles and the hook type, then write your own text and use your own images. Don't repost the creator's slides.
