Instagram carousel downloader

Paste a public Instagram carousel or photo post link to see every slide as a full-size JPG, plus the caption and author. Save one slide or the whole post as a ZIP.

Public posts only. Free, no signup, limited runs per day. Images are not stored.

Short answer

Paste the link to a public Instagram carousel or photo post and this tool shows every slide as a full-size JPG, with the caption and author. Download one slide or the whole carousel as a ZIP. No login; Reels aren't supported, a daily limit applies, and TokCloner doesn't store the images.

To download an Instagram carousel, copy the post link, paste it into the box above and run the tool. Every slide appears as a full-size JPG, with the caption and the account name. Save one slide, or download the whole carousel as a ZIP.

It works on public photo posts and carousels. Reels aren’t supported and you don’t log in. Each visitor has a daily limit, and TokCloner doesn’t store the images.

How to download Instagram slides

  1. Find the carousel or photo post on Instagram.
  2. Copy its link (steps below).
  3. Paste the link into the box at the top of this page and run the tool.
  4. Check the slides, caption and account name that appear.
  5. Download a single slide, or download every slide as one ZIP.

A carousel can hold up to 20 photos or videos, so the ZIP saves a lot of tapping.

Files land wherever your browser saves downloads. On iPhone that’s the Files app, in Downloads; tap the ZIP to unpack it. On Android it’s the Downloads folder, and on a computer it’s your browser’s download folder.

How to copy an Instagram post link

In the Instagram app

  1. Open the post.
  2. Tap the Share icon (the paper plane) below the post.
  3. Tap Copy link.

On the web

Open the post on instagram.com and copy the address from the browser bar. A post link looks like instagram.com/p/ABC123xyz/. A link with /reel/ in it is a Reel, which this tool doesn’t handle.

What the downloader can and can’t save

WorksDoesn’t work
Public carousels, up to 20 slidesReels
Public single-photo postsPosts from private accounts
Captions and account names, shown with the slidesStories and Highlights (they aren’t feed posts)
Deleted or archived posts

If a link fails, open it in a private browser window. If you can’t see the post there without logging in, the tool can’t see it either.

How big are downloaded Instagram photos?

Instagram stores feed photos at up to 1080 px wide. That’s the ceiling for any Instagram photo downloader, this one included. The height depends on the post’s aspect ratio:

Post shapeAspect ratioSize you get (px)
Square1:11080 × 1080
Portrait4:51080 × 1350
Tall portrait3:41080 × 1440
Landscape1.91:11080 × 566

If the creator uploaded a photo narrower than 1080 px, the file you get is smaller too. Every slide in a carousel shares one orientation, so a ZIP from one post usually holds same-sized images. The full spec list for every platform is in the social media size guide.

Instagram’s own save options

Instagram has two built-in ways to keep posts, and neither one gives you a file of someone else’s photo:

  • Save (bookmark): tap Save below any post to keep it in a private section of your profile. Tap and hold Save to add it to a collection. The post stays inside Instagram.
  • Save original photos: for your own posts only. Go to Profile > Menu > Archiving and downloading and turn on Save original photos. Every photo you post is then also saved to your phone.

Use the bookmark when you only need to find a post again. Use a downloader when you need the image files for a reference board, a swipe file or a presentation to your team.

Downloading vs reposting

Saving a public post for private reference is common. Reposting it is a different thing: the photos and the words on the slides still belong to the creator. Instagram’s copyright help pages explain how to avoid infringing other people’s work, and creators can report posts that use their content without permission.

In the US, fair use exists, but courts decide it case by case using four factors. This isn’t legal advice. A few ground rules:

  • Do save carousels to study their structure, collect references or archive your own posts.
  • Do credit the creator by handle whenever you show or discuss their work.
  • Don’t repost someone else’s slides, photos or captions as your own.
  • Don’t crop out a creator’s name, handle or watermark.
  • Don’t use someone else’s images in ads or paid work without permission.

A saved carousel is a blueprint. Paste the same link into the slideshow analyzer to see each slide’s role and the hook type. Then browse Instagram carousel ideas for formats that fit your niche.

TokCloner takes a carousel link and rebuilds the structure for your business with new text and new images, so you never post the original creator’s work.

It exports 1080×1920 (9:16) PNGs, which fit Reels and Stories directly. In a feed carousel Instagram crops them to 4:5 or 3:4, so keep the text in the middle 1080×1350. Plans start at $29 a month with no free plan; see the Instagram carousel maker.
